1v3 Scrambler Format & Rules

 

Entry fee: $5 each for a total prize pool of $80

 

There are three payouts.

 

#1 – For the 1v3 match play portion, if the individual player wins, they will receive $12.  If the scramble team wins, each member of the team will receive $4. If still tied after the 7 tiebreakers listed below, ALL players will receive $3 each.

 

#2 – The individual players will vie for 1st and 2nd place amongst themselves using TOTAL NET SCORE for the nine holes. 1st place will receive $6; 2nd place will receive $2 If still tied after the 7 tiebreakers listed below, both players will receive $4 each.

 

#3 – The scramble teams will vie for 1st and 2nd place amongst themselves using TOTAL NET SCORE for the nine holes. Each member of the 1st place team will receive $6; each member of the 2nd place team will receive $2. If still tied after the 7 tiebreakers listed below, each player will receive $4.

 

The matches between the individual players and the scramble teams are played as MATCH PLAY using handicaps.

 

In the event of a 4˝ - 4˝ tied match, the tiebreak method listed below will be applied.

 

The matches among the scramble teams will be scored as STROKE PLAY using team handicaps.

 

In the event of any ties, the tiebreak method listed below will be applied (starting with the 2nd item).

 

Scorecards will be provided to aid in scoring (very similar to our normal league night scorecards)

 

TIEBREAKER METHOD

1st  low net

2nd most net eagles

3rd most net birdies

4th most net pars

5th fewest net “others”

6th fewest net double bogeys

7th fewest net bogeys

 

 

Game rules

 

Normal USGA rules apply first, then Hacker League Rules.

 

In addition:

·         Scramble teams play from the location of the best previous shot

·         ALL players will be allowed to lift, clean and place their ball within 1 club-length of the original ball’s location.

·         ALL putts must be holed (no gimmies)

·         CTP is “in-play” on either the 3rd hole, or the 14th hole, depending on which side we end up playing. Prize is $10 for the closest tee-shot within 25’
